Bobby Lee, the crypto entrepreneur, the founder of BTCChina and the Ballot hardware wallet bumps into ‘John McLane’ Bruce Willis on a plane as he heads for China and starts talking Bitcoin with him.
Will Bruce Willis rescue Bitcoin?
Bobby Lee is known to be a Bitcoin pioneer. Back in 2011, he founded the BTCChina crypto exchange, which later rebranded as BTCC. His most recent business project is the Ballot crypto wallet.
This weekend, Bobby Lee turned out to be flying on the same plane as the Hollywood A-lister Bruce Willis, and sitting right next to him. Lee proudly wrote he started talking Bitcoin to ‘John McClane’.
On my flight from #LA to #Shanghai, I was surprised to see #BruceWillis come onboard, sitting next to me, traveling w/ his family to China. ?
What do I do? Let’s talk #Bitcoin! He didn’t know much, so I introduced him to $BTC, and showed him our @BalletCrypto physical wallets. pic.twitter.com/fektI7miCb

At some point during their conversation, Lee took out a couple of hardware gold-plated Ballot crypto wallets, loaded them with 0.01 BTC each and presented those to Bruce Willis as a Christmas gift for his daughters.
So I connected to inflight WiFi, used @BalletCrypto mobile app to quickly transfer 0.01 $BTC onto each of these Gold-plated REAL Bitcoin wallets.
And then gave them to #BruceWillis for his 2 daughters, as early Christmas presents!

Other Hollywood celebrities in crypto
Bruce Willis is not the first Hollywood actor to get into the crypto sphere recently. About this time in 2018, Gwyneth Paltrow also got involved with crypto, trying to raise awareness of Bitcoin.
Great piece with @billbarhydt on @goop today https://t.co/cBoeHJ9ts7

This year, Bitcoin got into Hollywood and was featured in an action movie ‘Crypto’ starring the veteran actor Kurt Russell.
Johnny Depp also nearly made it to act John McAfee in the ‘King of the Jungle’ biopic. However, the crypto baron himself turned Depp down. Michael Keaton finally got the part, however, McAfee admitted he would have loved it to be Morgan Freeman.
The community’s reaction to the news
In the comment thread, there was positive feedback from Bobby Lee’s followers, albeit a little ironic.

Previously, U.Today reported that Bobby Lee also presented some Bitcoin to a former US congressman and a US presidential candidate Ron Paul.
Forgot to mention, I also gave Dr. @RonPaul his first #Bitcoin, loaded into a nice @BalletCrypto gold-plated REAL Bitcoin wallet.
It was a special serial number AA000820 to match his birthday! And he loves the #Gold color. ? https://t.co/B1iQQKFYNq pic.twitter.com/L8eEStvG2A
